Collection: UVB 311nm Lamps Psoriasis Vitiligo Phototherapy

Phototherapy – Psoriasis treatment with UVB lamps from GlobLight

UVB lamps for psoriasis are an effective method of treating psoriasis, vitiligo, alopecia areata, and other skin diseases.

Phototherapy, also known as light therapy, is one of the most popular methods of treating skin diseases such as psoriasis, vitiligo and atopic dermatitis (AD). It consists in inhibiting the excessive proliferation of skin cells using ultraviolet radiation of the UVB or UVA type. In Slovakia, UVB radiation with a wavelength of 311 nm is most often used.

In the GlobLight range you will find lamps equipped with high-quality Philips UVB 311 nm lamps.

Phototherapy at home

Radiation therapy can be performed independently at home according to the attached radiation treatment plan developed by GlobLight specialists. However, the detailed treatment schedule should be determined by the attending physician.

Another therapy option is PUVA, which is a combination of UVA radiation with a drug that increases the skin's sensitivity to light, such as psoralen.

How often should you use UVB radiation?

UVB therapy is performed in sessions 3–5 times a week. It is necessary to protect your eyes during irradiation – that is why all GlobLight lamps are equipped with special UV protective glasses.

Certified medical facilities

All therapy lamps offered by GlobLight are medical devices in accordance with the requirements of the Medical Devices Directive 93/42/EEC.
